Gaviscon Advance Suspensions contain double the concentration of sodium alginate compared with Gaviscon Original products. Gaviscon Advance Suspensions form the strongest ‘raft’ in the Gaviscon liquids range.

Contains:

• Sodium alginate
• Potassium bicarbonate

How does it work?

• Gaviscon Advance forms a ‘raft’ over the stomach contents which helps prevent acid coming back up into the oesophagus (food pipe)
• As such it is effective at treating the classic symptoms of heartburn (a burning pain in the chest and mild acid regurgitation)

The range:

Gaviscon Advance has a soothing effect. And because it works physically (rather than by entering the bloodstream) it is suitable for use in pregnancy.
